| OBJECTIVE: |
Acquire techniques for understanding natural speech in meetings, discussions, conferences, etc. Develop oral comprehension to gain more self-confidence in work situations. |

Professionals who wish to avoid misunderstandings and overcome their lack of confidence in understanding English speakers, and make sure they have understood everything correctly. |
| DESCRIPTION: |
Practical sessions (“learning by doing”), which include the use of cassettes, videos, and authentic conversation. |
| CONTENT: |
- Listening in different contexts (meetings, public speeches, television, telephone, public announcements, etc.)
- Listening to understand the general meaning
- Listening for specific information
- Understanding the details of a speech or conversation
- Interpreting intonation with a view to understanding and reproducing it.
- Understanding different accents
- Learning expressions
- Predicting and deducing according to context
- Techniques for confirming and clarifying

| DURATION: |
Minimum of 5 hours, in a single session or two sessions of 2.5 hrs. |
| PARTICIPANTS: |
Maximum of 8 participants per group, with a similar level (from upper intermediate level upwards – level 6 on our scale). |
| TRAINERS: |
Native and fully qualified ICL trainers, all experts in language teaching and aware of the urgency and problems arising from the situation. |
